Hello Hong Kong
First time in Hong Kong. As I was planning for this trip the weather was a factor for me. The humidity and rain would for sure slow me down as I walked the streets but I kept putting this trip off and decided to go forward with it. Arriving just in time to see the city slowly wake up around 5:00am it is always special to see this in a new city for the first time. The sounds, mood, what I noticed and maybe not noticed. I tried my best to scale down my walks but my wandering eye kept me moving. Can’t wait to go back.
Detroit, Home of Motown
I grew up listening to Motown and always wanted to visit the birthplace of that timeless sound. It was inspiring to hear the stories and see the impact the sound had not just in music but throughout the cit of Detroit. Whatupdoe!
I heart Maui
Hey Siri, play Sublime and take me to the nearest beach. First time exploring Maui, I didn’t want to try to see it all in one day and race through the island. I spent my time in smaller towns where locals stayed and got perspective on the rich culture of Maui from people I met.
Tokyo is always a good idea, always.
Tokyo continues to unveil new sides of the massive city every time I walk the streets. It beings to feel like a familiar dream where one day I’ll already know I’ll wake up in my own bed in Tokyo. 5 trips in 2 years and I’m still excited on each visit.
48 hours in Europe
Amsterdam is always a unique city to photograph. At first glance it is visually interesting but the challenge is to make it different from other photographers but I guess that can be said about any other city. I decided to hop on the Eurostar afterwards to see Paris before the Olympics. I normally don’t mind Paris in the rain but it was storming!
Lazy days in Honolulu
Took it really slow in Honolulu by hopping on the bus from Waikiki to North Shore to see Oahu. I’ve been here many times but its refreshing to get away from the busy part of the island.
Mother’s Day in Van City
The Capilano Bridge, Stanley Park, Vancouver Aquarium and of course Granville Island.
The Sun Came Out in New York
What’s your favorite New York anthem? Does Dipset Anthem count?
